The
University of Canberra,
an Australian Government owned university in the capital of
Australia (ACT) has been the key strategic partner of
Asiainstitut of Management (AM School of Business
Studies, AMSBS)
since 1998.
AMSBS in collaboration with the
Division of Business, Law & Information Sciences
at the University of Canberra, offers a wide range of business
courses from undergraduate through to postgraduate levels in
most areas of Business including Management, Accounting, Law,
Banking, Finance, Economics, Human Resource Management,
Marketing and International Business in Singapore.
Since then, AMSBS has
played a pivotal role in developing thousands of managers and
executives from various industry in Singapore, in particular
graduated students from Singapore Polytechnic, Ngee Ann
Polytechnic, Temasak Polytechnic and Nanyang Polytechnic which
make up of 98% of the current enrolled students in the
undergraduate program while the remaining 2% consists of
students with either GCE "A" Level or equivalent qualifications.
YISHUN
JUNIOR COLLEGE (YJC)
In January 2004,
Asiainstitut of Management, AM School of Business Studies (AMSBS)
in collaboration with
Yishun Junior College
established the
following scholarships for deserving students:
JC1
Yishun JC - University of Canberra Scholarships
JC2
Yishun JC - University of Canberra Scholarships
These
scholarships are funded by Asiainstitut of Management, AM School of
Business Studies and are targeted at JC1 and JC2 students respectively.
Following
that, the
2005 Emmanuel 1st year Undergraduate Scholarship for
Bachelor of Business Administration was launched in October
2004. This scholarship is exclusive to YJcians and is applicable to
students who pursue the first year BBA course offered by University of
Canberra at its Singapore extended campus.
In March
2005, Yishun JC became the first junior college to offer the
YJC-UC University Preparation Programme for their JC1 students.
This course is taught by lecturers from the Asiainstitut of Management.
Under the programme, students are able to pursue the course concurrently
with their A levels and will eventually be awarded a Diploma in Business
Administration as well as be able to gain direct entry into the second
year undergraduate Bachelor of Business Administration studies at three
Australian universities namely, University of Canberra, University of
Western Australia and University of Queensland.

and the Singapore extended campus of the University of Canberra:
Asiainstitut of Management, AM School of Business are constantly seeking
new opportunities to enrich the educational experience of our students
through offering study options which are presently not available to
Singapore students.
The
Academy of
Professional
Aestheticians (APAes)
represents practising
aestheticians in the
health and wellness
industry, including
practitioners from all
aesthetic therapy
functions and
businesses. Through our
unified voice, the
academy has established
strong links with
business, academia and
government to become the
voice of the aesthetic
therapy profession.
The APAes's leadership
role in advancing the
aesthetic therapy
profession has resulted
in the emergence of
Certified Practising
Aesthetician (CPAes)
as a globally accepted
benchmark, the
establishment of a Code
of Professional
Aestheticians Conduct,
and the move toward
defined practicing
standards for
aestheticians
regardless of
race, color, national
origin, religion, age,
disability, sexual
orientation, or marital
status.
APAes also seeks to
provide high quality,
relevant professional
development programs
through strategic
partnership with various
higher tertiary
institutions,
professional bodies,
industries and companies
in the world that are
intellectually
stimulating and
appropriate to
aestheticians and
companies or consortia
of companies.
In 2008,
Asiainstitut of Management, AM School of Business Studies (AMSBS)
in collaboration with
the
Academy of Professional
Aestheticians
to provide
aestheticians (with
CPAes Certification
and/or CPAes
Qualification and valid
membership of APAes) who
wish to gain direct
admission to the
university's business
degree programs
(Bachelor of Business
Administration, Bachelor
of Management, Bachelor
of Commerce, etc),
the University
Preparation Programs
(UPP): Diploma of
Business Administration.
On successfully
completion of the
UPP and with good Grade
Point Average (GPA),
they can gain direct
admission to the
University of Canberra's
degree programs and or
other degree programs in
the Commonwealth
universities. Selected
aestheticians will be
given the
Emmanuel Scholarship for
the University
Preparation Program.
