The University Preparation Programs (UPP) are designed for students
who wish to gain direct admission into the University of Canberra's
degree programs and are concerned about coping in
the normal university environment, then AM School of Business
Studies (AMSBS) offers for Singapore students
alternative programs.
All programs are registered and
approved by the Ministry of Education, Singapore since 2000.
On successful completion of the university
preparation programs, students
(Profiles
of UPP Graduates) will be able to gain
direct entry into the 2nd Year of the Bachelor of Business
Administration, Bachelor of Commerce and or Bachelor of
Management by the University of Canberra. Students pursuing the
Advanced Diploma of Business Administration will receive
additional advanced standing. Those students with good Grade Point
Average (GPA) will be able to receive advanced standing from
other
Commonwealth universities.
There are four Diplomas and Advanced Diploma (equivalent to an
Associate Art Degree) available to
local
students:

University Preparation Programs have the option to
opt in or out for the Student
Protection Scheme.
In addition,
local students
who possess ONE of
the following entry requirements are eligible to apply for any
of the
3 core degree courses from the University of Canberra that are
available in Singapore:
2 GCE “A” level at least grade
C.
Diploma from local polytechnics
in Singapore.
Diploma from overseas
polytechnics.
Advanced Diploma of Business
Administration and Diploma of Business Administration from
Asiainstitut of Management, AM School of Business Studies.
Diploma from other recognised
professional institutions.
Undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree/s that are
recognised by the home country of the degree-granting
institutions.
Note: Advanced standing are given on a case-by-case basis and
approved by the University of Canberra's Academic Committee
based on the prior qualification/s.
The 3 core degree courses from
the University of Canberra that are available in Singapore for
local students only.
