Who are alumni?
alumni, plural: former pupils or students.
Asiainstitut of Management, AM School of Business Studies (AMSBS) establishes the
University of Canberra Merlion Alumni Network (UCMAN)
to
enable graduates (on-campus and off-campus) to remain active
members of the University community in Singapore.
Undergraduate and Postgraduate students study in Singapore
through the extended campus (AMSBS) will be automatically in the
UCMAN upon graduation. We will also like to extend our
invitation to returning Singapore graduates studying on-campus
in Canberra
to join the UCMAN.
The UCMAN believes that maintaining excellent relations with
alumni is mutually beneficial. UCMAN will provide a means for UC
graduates to keep in touch with their discipline and colleagues
through a variety of events and activities in particular
creating links with employers and industry leaders. It also
provides a source of human capitals for firms that are looking
for potential staffs to increase their organizational
performance.
It is in the interest of all alumni to ensure UC remains a
world-class institution, attracting the best and brightest
students and making research breakthroughs benefiting the
community, because this is what value-adds to the prestige of a
UC degree. Active UCMAN's alumni are important to the University
since they can act as advocates on behalf of the University and
promoting the value of a UC education.
You can continue to be part of the UCMAN in business, industry,
government and academia by staying in touch with UCMAN.
